MODELING OF COMBINATION OF PROTON-CHEMICAL AND CHEMIOSMOTIC ENERGY
COUPLING MECHANISMS BY METHOD OF
EQUIVALENT ELECTRIC CIRQUITS

The mathematical and electrical models of the part of mitochondrial respiratory chain are proposed. Modeled part of respiratory chain consists of proton-chemical and chemiosmotic points of coupling. Computer analysis of the mathematical model allowed to obtain the theoretical dependence of the rates of ATP synthesis and of the respiration of mitochondria on membrane potential that are in good quantitative agreement with experimental data, contradicting chemiosmotic hypothesis.
